The Multitalented Diva

It’s a double century for Chaand Chhupa… –

We spoke to Siddharth, Nivedita, Divya and Viren about their journey and success of the show.

An elated Nivedita aka Neha Sargam says, “I can’t believe our show completed 200 episodes as it still feels like my first day on the show. There is so much to learn from everyone on the sets. I feel every day is challenging for me. I am thankful to all my fans who have supported and loved me so much. I can’t express my feelings and gratitude in words.”

Ask her about her favourite scene and she finds it difficult to point one out. “There are so many scenes which are very close to me, but all the emotional scenes with dadi have added layers to my character. They have been tremendous. I want to thank my STAR fans for all the love and support. Please do keep watching Chaand Chhupa Badal Mein.”

Newbie Siddharth Sood aka Abhishek Tiwari too is overwhelmed. “My journey in this show has been great and quite a learning experience, which I will never forget. I want to thank my team who encouraged me and helped my growth as an actor, and Rajan sir too for his constant support. Most importantly, I am glad that my first show aired on India’s no 1 channel STAR Plus. For me, this is an achievement and I am creatively satisfied in this show. With CCBM, I have reinvented myself by seeking guidelines from the senior actors like Sushma Ahuja, who plays my dadi and my on-screen mother. I feel blessed to work with a veteran actress like Sarita Joshi, who has always helped me,” he smiles.

He has many favourite scenes but talks about one. “Frankly speaking, every moment spent on the sets of CCBM is precious but if you ask about my favourite scene then it would be the engagement scene where I break the glass and hurt myself that depicts my intense love for Nivedita. The other one would be my romantic date with Nivedita which showed our romantic sides. I am thrilled with the 200th mark and want the show to cross 500 episodes. I want to say thank all the STAR fans for their love and accepting me in this show. Please support me and watch the show.”

Divya aka Risshima Roshlani too expressed her thanks and is glad to be part of CCBM. “I am very happy that the show has completed 200 successful episodes. Firstly, I would like to thank Rajan Sir and STAR Plus who gave me this opportunity to play this cute and loving character. It’s wonderful to play Divya. I just want the show now to complete 200 more episodes. It’s nice working with senior actors like Sarita Joshi aka Dadi, my onscreen mother and father. I have bonded very well with Neha aka Nivedita and now we are very good friends.”

About her favourite scene, she says, “All my scenes with Nivedita are cool but the one superb scene I remember was Nivedita’s dream sequence wherein she dreamt that I found out about her affair with Siddharth and I try to slash my wrist. That dream sequence was filled with high drama and emotions. I am glad to know that audiences love our show and my jodi with Sid. Please continue to love and support us.”

Viren aka Kinshuk Mahajan, the most experienced actor among all four of them, claims to know that CCBM would work wonders. “I was confident that CCBM would complete 200 episodes and now I am counting for the next big number. My journey as Viren has been wonderful and special because my fans have loved and accepted me as Viren. I love the fact that this character has so many variations to play with which makes it very unique.”

He continues, “My favourite scenes are the emotional ones between Nivedita and me. I also liked my entry scene and the scene when the whole family realises my true intentions. I am having fun playing this intense role. I want to thank my STAR fans for loving me and supporting me in my role and I hope they support me in winning my love, Nivedita, back.”
