Today’s TV generation has grown to fame by leaps and bounds and has a much wider outreach thanks to modern technology like the internet .We at Fuze got in touch with young TV actress Neha Sargam to know her views on Indian television today and also to know more about her………..

1- What is your view on Indian television today…

- Indian television has grown to be a very huge medium in the entertainment industry, If not bigger, it’s no less than the silver screen in every SENSE.

2- Recently there had been a hype regarding the liplock on ‘Bade Acchi Lagte Hain’, would you support it if the script demanded so and why?

- Well I haven’t seen it, if at all it is true don’t know what is the hype all about, TV industry has introduced it in the early of 90′s in shows like ‘Hubahu’ and ‘Banegi Apni Baat’ and shows like that in a more fashionable manner….Well, I won’t be comfortable with a scene like that even if it is a script’s demand.

3- You did some remarkable roles and even participated on a singing reality show, which on eyou find yourself much on?

- I would love to do different lines of role like after portraying an extremely positive character Nivedita in ‘Chand Chuppa Badal Mein’, I played a character that was very much different with little grey shades as Ishita in Haar Jeet…. I enjoy to the core of my heart and soul the inborn singing and recently discovered acting both art forms…very much equally… :)

4- Your views on imagine TV sudden shut down since you worked in it?…

- Well it was very unprofessional on IMAGINE’S part and very inhuman coz almost 1000s of IMAGINE’S officials, actors and technicians lost their job in a zap…. I was more worried about spot people, light men and all for whom it’s important to earn daily…

5- A dream role you would love to portray…

- I would love to do something periodic, which represents an era or something that is promising and challenging, I have loved my journey so far, but don’t think have given my best…. Will keep improving and working hard…..

6- Your favourite actor and actress from television/ Bollywood…

.- Well few are my favourites like almost all the actors from the golden era…and from today it has to be Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan and many others, I guess they all have a distinct quality, I admire good work…. TV actors, recently Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanvar, basically anyone delivering good work…

7- Whom would you like to see in Jhalak Dhikla Ja 5? Would you participate if given a chance?…

- Would like to see people who are actually non dancers, out of the film or TV industry… Most of the times they gather famous people from the TV and films rather than a non dancer, not that they shouldn’t involve TV actors, but those who are non dancers… Oh yes would love to be a part of the show isi bahane will get a chance to learn few forms of dancing even in a shallow terms.

8- A message to your fans at fuzionproductions.com….

- I feel extremely blessed and overwhelmed with the kind of love and response I have got in such a short span of time and career… And I believe after hard work only one thing more makes a person a star and that is the unconditional love and appreciation of fans… And I always work keeping few things in my mind that what I’m doing should make me my family and my fans proud and happy… I love them and owe them a lot…

We at fuze wish Neha all the best and hope that she returns soon on screen as her fans surely miss her a lot.

Telly Stars from Flab to Fab

Telly Stars from Flab to Fab – Neha Sargam

In order to look good and feel great, many telly actresses are slimming up in a big way! From following a rigorous diet pattern to hitting the gyms, doing yoga, talking walks, the small screen bahus/betis are trying every possible way to tone up as they lose the extra inches to look picture perfect.
This fitness conscious brigade include names like Rashami Desai,  Neha SargamJuhi ParmarRubina Dilaik, Smriti Kalra,  Abigail Jain, Suchita Trivedi, Mouli Ganguly, Sara Khan, Sukirti Kandpal and many more. What’s with this sudden rush to shape up? Is it meant for their new, revamped screen roles? Or are they fitness freaks?
Neha Sargam I had a chubby face when I was doing my debut show, Chand Chupa Badal Mein. I wasn’t very fat!
Fitness Fundas Luckily, I never had to get into gymming or do heavy exercise. All I do is jog and go for brisk walks at least for 30 minutes everyday. And that keeps me fit. What actually helps is good sleep. If you don’t get proper sleep, it makes you look bloated which was happening with me. I’ve lost the fat from my face. Good rest has helped give me a chiselled look.
Diet Dos I have never believed in dieting. I love eating out, but I don’t indulge in oily or deep fried food. That apart, everything on earth is welcome on my plate.

Rubina Dilaik

For me, losing weight wasn’t an intentional effort. I think my lifestyle and home food has helped me lose that chubby look. But, I miss that look.
Fitness Fundas I make sure that I walk or run at least thrice a week for 30-45 minutes. And nothing beyond that – I’m unable to gym because of my hectic work schedules. The walk or jog is essential to remain healthy and feel fresh.
Diet Dos I believe in eating the right food at the right time. I have some heavy breakfast which comprises parathas, cornflakes, fresh fruits, milk, juice – anything that gives my day a perfect kickstart. However, I ensure that I eat less for dinner, say one chapati and daal or a bowl of rice with daal and sabzi along with salad as it makes me feel light and fresh.
Abigail Jain I was plump when I started my career on the small screen with Kya Dill Mein Hai. Today it feels impossible to believe that the same girl is me. I had to shed eight kilos. Initially I tried some crash diets, but I couldn’t benefit from that. Then I had to work out to get rid of that plump image. Now, when I look at myself I really feel happy about this fit avatar of mine. And, my role demanded that as well.
Fitness Fundas I used to gym at least for an hour, out of which, 40 minutes were dedicated to cardio exercises. Now, I’m unable to gym regularly, so I jog for 20-25 minutes on the beach. Also, I try crunches for 20 minutes daily. Luckily, my role helps me practice kick-boxing which is helping me stay fit.
Diet Dos I tried giving up on non-vegetarian food earlier. But, being a food lover, I couldn’t continue with it. Now, I eat anything and everything including junk food, chocolates, ice-cream but I ensure that I burn all the extra calories out by exercising.
Suchita Trivedi Post Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, when I was on a break, I decided to lose the excess weight which I’d put on because I had no time to exercise.
Fitness Fundas I’d come down to Ahmedabad after Baa Bahoo…. wrapped up. My cousins got me addicted to cycling. It became such a habit that when I returned to Mumbai, I bought a bicycle for myself and cycled at 6 am on highways.
I go to the gym, walk and jog at least twice a week. I followed all this strictly for six months. It helped me reduce eight kilos.
Diet Dos I ensured that I didn’t eat too much. The preservatives in those food-items make you put on weight. I prefer home-made food. Even if I feel like eating sweets, I stick to sheera, chikkis, sukhdi or kheer made at home. Only eating healthy, fresh and home-made food helped me a lot in keeping fit. I’m sticking to this food pattern even now.
Smriti Kalra For Surveen Guggal, I’ve shed at least 15 kgs. In my previous stint for 12/24 Karol Bagh, I was asked to put on weight as the character demanded a slightly plump girl and I ate everything on earth to put on weight. But, post that, I took extra care to get back to the way I was.
Fitness Fundas When you have to shed weight, 60 per cent depends on your workout and 40 per cent on the right diet. I used to do cardio exercises like spinning, running, cycling for 40 minutes a day, followed by another half an hour dedicated to tone up my lower body. I continued it for almost six months and lost upto 15 kilos which was a lovely feeling.
Diet Dos I have small meals after every two hours. I don’t eat carbs post 8 pm. Also, I avoid sweets and have adapted some healthy ways like having green tea instea of regulr chai, brown bread instead of white, skimmed milk and low-fat yogurt. I also avoid preparations made from maida. All this helps one stay fit.
